A REVOLUTIONARY WAY OF RENTING IN CENTRAL LONDON

Covent Garden 11/09/2023

With rental demand surging in the capital, tenants are holding on to their properties for a record average of 32 months creating a challenging lettings market. The Other House South Kensington offers a compelling alternative to traditional renting in central London – here, we take a look at the benefits of a long-term let at The Other House.

Less contracts and more control

The future of renting in central London has fundamentally changed. With demand in the capital higher than ever, tenants are now holding on to their properties for a record average of 32 months. It’s creating a challenging environment, where tenants are forced into long-term contracts.

Recognising that tenants want flexibility to choose their desired length of stay without incurring costs, The Other House offers residential living for as long as needed – with no prohibitive long-term contracts. The longer a resident stays, the better the rate they get. With inflationary living costs on the rise, the rates at The Other House also have the benefit of being inclusive of all bills. This includes energy, water, council tax, TV licence, Wi-Fi, Chromecast, weekly flat cleaning, and gym and club membership, providing cost of living certainty with none of the burden of setting these services up.

Pay only when you stay

As well as flexible payment options, residents can also take up to four weeks ‘holiday time’. When you’ve been in residence for 6 months or more, we give the option to take up to two two-week breaks throughout the remainder of the year. And the best part? You will not pay for accommodation during this time.

Pied-a-terre meets private club

As well as offering any length stays, The Other House has launched another market first, aptly named ‘Stay As You Choose’.

For the out-of-towners who split their time between the office and working from home, and only need to come to London intermittently, residents can purchase packages of 25 up to 150 nights, for use over a 3 to 12 month period, and choose as and when to use them. The more nights purchased, the better the rate. Residents can even leave their luggage, laundry or dry cleaning when they leave, to be put back into a Club Flat upon their return. It’s the perfect pied-a-terre, all topped off with exclusive access to our private club when you stay.

Accommodation, thoughtfully designed

Designed to be lived in, all our Club flats were created through a residential lens rather than traditional hospitality.

When you enter your ‘Other House’, you walk into an inviting living space with sofa, dining table and chairs, rather than entering a bedroom area that is typically found within hotels. All include a fully-equipped kitchenette with dishwasher, microwave/convection oven, fridge freezer, crockery and utensils. The bedroom areas are separated from the rest of the space with beautiful screen or wall, and include ample wardrobe space and en-suite bathroom.

Combining the convenience of hotel services, with the comfort and privacy of a home and the amenities of a private club, residents of The Other House can experience the very best of all worlds, and enjoy a completely unique take on London living.
